All about Eliza
I grew up in Ottawa, Canada. After completing a Bachelor's degree in International Relations at the University of Toronto, I left for England to pursue a Master’s degree at Oxford and subsequently to work.
In 2003 I moved to even greener pastures, travelling solo for four months and then moving to Iceland with my Icelandic husband, Guðni Th. Jóhannesson. We have three sons, Duncan Tindur (b. 2007), Donald Gunnar (b. 2009), and Saethor Peter (b. 2011).
I started working freelance full-time in 2004 and launched my own company in 2008.

- I have over a decade of international sales and marketing experience across numerous sectors.
- English is my native language. I can write and proofread in both UK and US English.
- My Icelandic comprehension is good, but please be forgiving when I'm writing emails, and note that I do not accept translation assignments.
- Since my days as the elected head of the student body at my college more than a decade ago, I have been involved in organising, facilitating, promoting, co-ordinating and managing projects of various kinds, including managing the largest summer student volunteer programme in Canada and working with the president of Iceland on an international conference.
What is Dudo?
My company's name, Dudo, is composed of the first syllables of my oldest sons’ names: Duncan and Donald.
